The Collateral Repair Project
in affiliation with International Humanities Center

"Be Collateral Repair Where You Are"
Isn't it amazing what a difference a few people can make in the lives of others?

At CRP we know first hand the dramatic effects that are possible and, indeed, that have come to the lives of
some Iraqi refugees because a few people took action - relief from cold and hunger, improved economic
stability, hope for their future.

Imagine how many families would be helped and how much collateral damage would be repaired if a group
or individual in every community would pledge to sponsor just one project!
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world;
indeed it's the only thing that ever has

Margaret Mead

We invite you, as an individual or with your family, neighbors, school, peace & social
justice group, faith community, or co-workers to pledge to raise funds to help needy Iraqis

These are some of the kinds of projects you & your group can pledge to support:

  • $60 will buy soccer balls for 10 children in Iraq to be exchanged for their toy guns

  • $150 will pay for one month of tuition or a month of tutoring for a student with
    special needs in Jordan

  • $150 - $500 will fund a micro-project for a family in Amman, Jordan, giving them the
means to make a small living

  • or we can tailor a specific project for you based on the amount of funds you want to
pledge to raise or based on the age, gender or type of need of the recipients

  • We are happy to suggest projects suitable for students or other youth groups
How Can I Become Part of Collateral Repair?

  • We will work with you to help you to determine what type of project that will work best for you and your
    group

  • Once this is determined, we will contact our team members in Jordan or Iraq and they will find a family or
    project that needs your help

  • Our team will send photos and other information about the family     * exception: due to security concerns for people
in Iraq, we cannot share the names, location or individual photos of families there at this time

  • We will send you a packet of materials to help you raise awareness of this humanitarian disaster while you
    raise funds

  • Your donors can get a tax deduction for their contributions

  • We will put your project on our web site so that you can direct others in your community to learn more
about  you are doing - along with photos of the family (or project) you pledge to help, information about
your fund-raising events, contact information for you or your group so that others in your community can
contact you (optional), and a link to your organization's web site

  • Once you've fulfilled your pledge and your assistance has reached those it is intended for, we will send you
photos and an update of how your efforts have improved lives

  • When possible, CRP will facilitate communication directly with those you have helped - either through  email
or via hard copy letters and cards

Please contact us for more information about how
YOU can help repair lives that have been
             devastated by war & displacement
