BEADS  NOT  BOMBS
The Iraqi Women's
Craft Co-operative members have
been learning many new craft
techniques and one that they are
especially enthused about is jewelry
craft.

They are learning these skills so that
they can support their families through
cottage industry so that their products
can be sold through fair trade marketing.

Most of the women in the co-op were
skilled professionals in Iraq prior to the
invasion.  Since refugees are restricted
from working in Jordan, this project
gives them a means to support their
families.

Are you a bead artist or silversmith?
Are you a retail store or wholesale
outlet for beading or jewelry-making
supplies?

Do you have beads, other related
materials, or tools that you would
like to donate to the women in the
co-operative?

If so, please consider donating to
this project

They also would appreciate instructional
materials - especially those with
pictorial instructions or, better yet, on cd.

And, as are monetary contributions to
the Collateral Repair Project,
your
donation of supplies or instructional
material are tax deductible!
