Last week CRP families got together at the community center for a community dinner. Many of the families that CRP works with, including Syrians, Iraqis, and Jordanians came together to eat and socialize. On the menu was home made Syrian food that received excellent reviews. Given the influx of new families that we are working with, this was a great opportunity for these people to get to know the community, meet other families, and become further involved in the community.
Having community dinners at the center is one of the many ways that CRP helps foster community and brings community members together. They get to socialize, learn about the programs that we offer at the site, and break their normal routine with some food and fun. As always, the dinner was a great success, and we look forward to the next one!
