One of CRP’s many successful programs is our computer skills training course, which is taught and organized by volunteers from our community. We have thirty students in beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. Our beginner group learns the basic functions of computers, including how to save documents properly, organize files and folders, copy and paste, and other elementary skills. The intermediate group focuses on more advanced concepts, such as how to use Microsoft Office. We hope to soon teach Photoshop and other graphic design programs for our advanced students.

Reem teaches the intermediate computer class. She has previous experience with most Microsoft Office programs, but spent hours watching and studying YouTube tutorials in order to most effectively teach. Reem explained, “my students want to come to learn these computer skills because they know the importance of technology and want to plan for a better future for themselves. I am really happy for what they have learned and how it will help them in the future.”
