Thanks to a grant from Dining for Women (DFW), a US-based, nonprofit giving circle dedicated to empowering women and girls living in extreme poverty, CRP holds women’s self-care, wellness, and leadership sessions.
The sessions address refugee women’s psychosocial needs and give women skills they can use to better care for themselves. Women in our community participate in wellness activities, such as yoga, art therapy, and relaxation techniques–helping them better mitigate the effects of PTSD and associated health issues. The sessions also provide intensive training for women on leadership skills and ways in which they can better advocate in their community.
We’re so grateful to DFW for giving women in our community the means of taking a more active role in CRP’s activities
